This 1960 Girard Perregaux Gyromatic, is a pristine example of classic watchmaking. This watch features the Girard Perregaux caliber 31.22 movement which is based on the manual wind AS 1687, and the automatic mechanism was a joint venture between GP, Zodiac, Eberhard, Doxa, and Favre-Leuba. The caliber 31.22 automatic movement displays the date position at 3 o’clock in a subtle blue text. The movement was just fully serviced prior to sale.

The dial features hand applied to tier stainless steel markers at 12 , 6, and 9 o’clock hand-painted extending hour markers as the remaining indicators. The minimalist classy design of the eggshell patina dial is finished off very legible but thin stainless steel stick style hands The 34 mm stainless steel case where is very large due to the 42 mm lug to lug dimensions. This watch features the original screw down case back as well as the original signed GP crown, and was fitted with a brand-new 18 mm black Italian suede strap prior to sale.
