Being offered for sale is a New Old Stock Girard Perregaux Gyromatic in impeccable condition. This late 1970's production safe queen has been immaculately maintained for nearly 45 years and comes with original box and booklet.
The 37mm futuristic cushion case has a radiating brushed pattern finish, showcasing a natural blue/grey granular marbled dial with a noticeable but not overwhelming white racing style seconds track. The dial has chemcially changed consistently over the storage period. The baton style hour markers truly are a testament to the attention to detail GP was still giving watches in the midst of the quartz crisis. Notice the horizontal linear finishing of the portion of the hour markers which interact with the racing dial so the eye is easily fixated to the portion of the dial you are trying to read.
This beautiful piece also comes with the correct and original signed crown which has been hidden to preserve the symmetry of the case. The GP caliber 480 quickset day and date movement has been fully serviced prior to sale with replacement of the gaskets and is in immaculate condition. To further compliment the symmetry of the case a new old stock period correct 20mm curved lug Corfam black python finished rally strap.
