One of the nicest solid gold watches to come out during the 1950's , this IWC is in totally unpolished , preserved condition. Few honest knicks on caseback and mark on dial over time. It is in truly well preserved condition. Housing the caliber 89 which was the best of innovative , reliable horology in the 40's and 50's. The movement is generously finished with geneve stripes and perliage , at a level near Audemaers Piguet. The case measures 37.5mm across without the crown making it just the perfect elegant dress watch , but radically large and masculent for early 1950's This is a trait of the the german part of Switzerland , and IWC's DNA at it's finest.
