During the early 1970s, design teams at Zenith came out with some of the most underappreciated and underrated stainless-steel sports watches ever created. This rare example of a TV style Defy an absolutely mint condition is being offered for sale.
The 37 mm television style case features multiple different polishing techniques, which available examples in the market over the past few years have lost due to refinishing. The radial brushing pattern screams out from the dial which features a slate gray sector, something not often found in sports watches. The eggshell finish of the remainder of the dial has aged beautifully and the overall condition of this watch is excellent.
Presented on a alligator custom-made 18 mm strap with minimal black side stitching, all focus is put onto the design elements and extremely comfortable to wear shape of the case.
The watch utilizes a fully serviced Zenith caliber 2572 PC movement which displays 28,800 on the dial denoting the beat rate. Also, this example features the jumbo signed Zenith bull’s-eye crown.
